What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you decide to be a part of our CSA, you pay for the 20 weeks of vegetables at the beginning of the season and in return, we deliver you the best in-season produce every week from late June until the end of October. The money received at the beginning of the season is a valuable investment in our small farm, as it helps us pay for many of the upfront costs of the growing season: seeds, infrastructure projects, compost, and salaries.
What can you expect:
Each weekly box holds approximately $27 worth of delicious vegetables. In the spring, the boxes tend to be slightly less than $27 but in the later season they bulk up so it all balances out. On average, we hope that our box can provide over 50%-70% of your weekly vegetable needs. We also want you to enjoy coming out to the farmers' markets or enjoy produce from your own garden, so our goal is not to over burden our CSA customers. There will be plenty of kitchen staples, as well as a few unique vegetables. A newsletter will be sent out each week with ideas for recipes and other farm related news as well as invitations to on-farm events. By signing up to our CSA you become part of our farm community!

Cost and Payment
$600 for 20 weeks of farm-to-door delivery - this price includes a small delivery fee and software fee. We cover all areas between the Junction to 6-Mile on the North Shore. We chose to-door delivery in part to make our CSA as convenient as possible for our customers, but also to minimize single-excursion trips to our farm. We accept payment in full or in three installments via cash, cheque, or e-transfer.
“What if I’m away on vacation?”
If you know you are going to be away for vacation, you can do one of three things:
Give your box to a friend or another family member in our delivery area.
Choose to donate it to the Nelson Food Cupboard. We may choose to delivery an equivalent value in bulk produce, as this may be more helpful for their needs.
We can offer a credit for the box that can be used at a later date, either through the CSA or Farmer’s Market.
